Judith Bulhoes Obituary

Judith Ann (Burmeister) Bulhoes passed away May 5, 2019 in Tyler, TX. Judy was born August 17, 1949, in Mobile, AL, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Burmeister.

Judy spent most of her adult life living in the San Francisco Bay Area, before moving to Texas. She graduated from Mt. Eden High School and Heald Business College in Hayward, CA. It was while attending Heald, she met the love of her life, her husband of 50 years; Manuel Bulhoes. The two were married May 10, 1969 and together they lovingly raised 3 children.

Judy loved watching football and baseball, and she passed that love on to her kids. Having spent most of her adult life in the SF Bay area, her favorite teams were the SF 49ers and the SF Giants, but she loved and supported all Bay Area teams. While her kids were growing up, she was a regular fixture at their games and was always the loudest fan in the stands.

Judy and her husband Manuel moved to Texas in 2004 first settling in Karnack, TX before moving to Tyler. Judy or Nonnie as she was endearingly called by her grandsons, loved being close to all 4 of them and always showered them with love and affection.

Judy is preceded in death by her son William, her parents Donald and Dorothy Burmeister, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Manuel and Elsie Bulhoes. As well as her brothers William and Dean, her sister, Carolyn, several aunts and uncles, and her niece.

Judy is survived by her husband Manuel, daughter
Karyn (Bulhoes)Ard, son-in-law Jones Ard, daughter Rebecca Bulhoes, son Manuel Bulhoes, daughter-in-law Angela Bulhoes, and grandsons Jones Ryan and Connor Ard, Jackson and Langston Bulhoes. She is also survived by her brother Joe (Judy), sister Deanna (Robert), brother Jeff (Stacey), several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held June 1,2019, location and time are still pending. Upon finalizing, the family will share additional details.
