Anita Jordan Obituary

Anita Naomi Dotson was born on March 10, 1956 to Henry Bernard Dotson, Sr. and Ida Mae Collins in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She attended Compton High School in California where she was a part of the band, orchestra and track team. She later worked at California State Dominquez. Anita was a part of Operation Breadbasket Choir and sang with many people. She also had her own group.

In 1982 Anita married Aaron Wilson and to this union two children were born Victor and Veronica. Anita attended The Living Gospel Church Outreach under her first Pastor at the time D.L. Jones. Anita served throughout the years in Houma, LA, Monroe, LA, Longview, TX, and Gilmer, TX. by playing the organ, teaching the choirs, and being a mother providing comfort and wisdom.

Anita remarried May 19, 2012 to Maurice Jordan whom she loved SO MUCH! Her last 9 years of her life were the best. She was a very loving wife who took care of her husband even when she felt her worst. He, in return, literally swept her off her feet in any way possible which  she appreciated so much. Their love story is unmatched! Anita enjoyed cooking for anyone, taking trips, making her soaps and lotions, tending her garden, spending time with her family, going to football games, listening to music, and playing her organ. She was a fun living person; tough full of wisdom and knowledge, and very optimistic about life. She also enjoyed reaching out to people and silently helping in anyway she could.

Anita is preceded in death by her loving father Henry Bernard Dotson Sr., mother Ida Mae Collins, brothers Henry Bernard Dotson Jr. and Thomas Earl Dotson, sisters Verlena Dotson and Laura Weir.

She is survived by her loving husband Maurice Jordan, son Victor Wilson and daughter Veronica Wilson; brothers Alfred [Jettie] Dotson and Frederick [Karen] Dotson; sisters Luline Dotson, a host of cousins, nieces nephews, friends and church family.
