Annie Ruth Hart

Annie Ruth Hart “Mom” was born on February 13, 1927 to the parentage of Jasper and Madie Hart in Hallsville, Texas. 

At an early age Annie confessed her faith in Christ when she joined Golden Hill Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas where she was baptized. She was a faithful member in the choir and usher board. Later in life she became a very faithful member of Saint Paul Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. 

Mother Annie married the late Hurrious Rogers (Buddy Redd). Annie worked for many years in a department store as a salesperson. She also worked many years as a homemaker. She later in life was a care taker for the elderly which was her passion until she retired. Most of the joy in her life came from working hard as a full time mother raising her children. 

Mother Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Madie Hart, sisters; Olma Lee Robinson and Ina Hart of Hallsville, Texas, Melba Hardeman of Longview, Texas, and Jessie Perry of Gladewater, Texas, brothers; Hubert Hart, Anderson, Henderson, Letha, and Jasper Hart. All of her siblings preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two children; Sarah Hart and Larry Hart, and four grandchildren; Gaylon Bradley, Sygunda Williams, Joedeci Wright, and Patrice Young. 

She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughters; Shirley Nelson, Nell (Amos) Hart, Flora (James) Young, Phyllis (Otis) Johnson, Debra (Nathan) Reliford, Sandra Owens, and Ina Hart- Young, two sons; George (Yolanda) Owens and Andreaius Kennedy all of Longview, Texas.

She also leaves a God sent special daughter of over 30 years Catherine Herndon, 25 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
