Mr. Anthony Karl Johnson, was born to the parentage of Boyd Johnson and the late Melba Marshall on July 5, 1962, in Longview, Texas; Anthony departed this earthly life on Monday, October 18, 2022.
Anthony accepted Christ, as his personal savior, at an early age and at that time he joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church Longview, Texas where he worshipped throughout the years. He loved reading the bible and talking about the goodness of God. He faithfully watched the Shephard Chapel every morning.
He attended the Longview Independent School District and was a graduate of the Class of 1979.
He had many hobbies ranging from shopping online, watching western movies, talking about old classic cars, and most of all he loved barbecuing and cooking. The greatest joy of his life was his family and grandchildren that he loved so dearly.
Anthony worked for Fleetwood Travel Trailer of Texas for many years until they relocated. He then started working for Lebus Manufacturing and later started working with Exam/Ball Corporation, until they closed in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his mother, wife, Sandra Johnson; and three brothers, Michael Johnson, Boyd Johnson Jr., and Kevin Johnson. He was also preceded in death by a very special friend, Katrina Clayton.
He leaves to cherish his memories his stepdaughter, Shaunika Ausborn, of Longview, Texas; three brothers, Darryl (Tonia) Johnson, Gregory (Yolita) Johnson, both of Longview, Texas, and Terrance Johnson, of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Cheryl Johnson, of Rowlett, TX; Angelia (Joe) Beck and Jannette Howard, both of Hallsville, Texas, Shannon Johnson and Jeana Johnson, both of DeBerry, Texas, and Glory Johnson, of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren, ShaKariah Flamer, DaKeylon Kennedy, Dameteria Kennedy, DaQuavion Kennedy, ShaDreshea Kennedy, ShaMyrical Thomas, ShaKayla Brice, and DaKarian Brice, all of Longview, Texas; one bonus daughter, Tiara Simpson, of Longview, Texas; two very special bonus grandchildren, Christian and Jalen Simpson, both of Longview, Texas; one great grand, Da’Layiah Kennedy; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family, friends, and coworkers.
