Bridgett Yvette Thirkill

Bridgett Yvette Thirkill a devoted and loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother was born February 14, 1963, to Mr. Henry and Ethel Garner. She departed this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

She attended Churchill Elementary, Joe Wright Elementary, Jacksonville Middle School, Fred Douglas High School, and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1981. She also attended Nan Travis Nursing School, Tyler Junior College, and Stephen F. Austin with hopes of becoming an LVN.

She met Mr. Benny Thirkill in elementary school at a very young age. They dated all through their school years. They shared a lifetime of love, 40 years together in holy matrimony, and had 3 children.

She attended New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Claudell Anderson until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Garner.

Bridgett leaves to forever cherish her memories her husband, Benny Thirkill, Jacksonville, Texas; mother, Ethel Garner; one son, Desi (Whitney) Thirkill, Jacksonville, Texas; two daughters, Amelia (Kevin) Thirkill, Euless, Texas, and Bridjhuna (Chris) Allen, Cuney, Texas; twelve grandchildren, two sisters, Regina (Will) Session and Arnetta Garner; one uncle, Troy (Margarett) Walker, San Diego, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that will also forever cherish her memories.
