Corey Evans Obituary

Corey Evans, 44, of Longview, Texas, was born January 1, 1976, in Pittsburg, TX to Nobie and Queen Evans.

Mr. Evans graduated from Daingerfield high school in 1995. He later a attended Kilgore College, graduating with a degree in HVAC in 2010.

He married the love of his life, Felecia Evans, on December 3, 2001 and to this union two children were born and they also adopted a child.  

Corey accepted Christ into his life at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church, under the direction of the late Pastor Vandell Smith. He was a faithful and true believer in Jesus Christ. 

Corey was a hard worker, an action-oriented self-starter, and had a strong drive for success. He had a personality that everyone he met loved. He could light up the room with his smile and illuminate the world with his heart.

On August 28, 2020, Corey went to meet his Heavenly Father. He also will reunite with his Earthly father, Nobie  Evans. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, of 18 years, Felecia Evans; sons, Corey Evans Jr, Xavier Evans, and, adopted son, Ashton Evans of Longview; mother, Queen Evans; sisters, Lanore Evans of Daingerfield, Thalia (David) Brown of Daingerfield, and Marsha Abron of Cason; sisters in Law, Katrena (Henry) Alford of Longview and Vernetta Redwine of Longview, brother, Timothy (Shontae) Evans of Cason, and Myris Abron of Cason; brothers in Law, Cedric (Erica) Sherow of Longview, Kerry Sherow of Colorado, Monta (Kayla) Sherow of Longview, and Philip Redwine of Longview; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
