Cornelius Tremayne Holman was born March 31,1978 in St. Augustine, Texas to James C. Holman and Maggie Gardner. Affectionately called “Nilly” by his family and Corey by his friends, he was raised in Longview, Texas. Cornelius is a graduate of Longview High School where he was a proud member of the Lobo Band. He enjoyed playing the tenor saxophone. His dedication and musicianship earned him a music scholarship to Stephen F. Austin University where he majored in music.
At the time of his death, Cornelius was employed by Serv-Pro Restoration Services. He enjoyed his job, which afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout the United States restoring businesses after natural disasters. In his free time, Corey enjoyed playing video games and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved attending family gatherings and had a smile that warmed your heart.
In 2000. Cornelius accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His father, James Holman and his brother, Ladarren Holman, precede him in death. Cornelius leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sybil James-Holman, mother, Maggie Gardner, stepfather, John Gardner, his brother, Quince Holman, step brothers, Van Gardner, Rico Garden, and Brandon Gardner and his children, Anthony Holman, Braeden Holman, and Addison Holman as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends
