David Eugene McDonald

Longtime Longview businessman, David Eugene McDonald, entered his eternal home on January 5, 2022. He was born to parents Harold Eugene and Althea Wright McDonald in Newport News, Virginia on September 27, 1947. At the young age of 17, David began working in sales. He soon started his own business and spent the next 43 as the owner of McDonald Lighting. His bride of 54 years Lynda Jo (Benton) McDonald worked alongside him to build a family and successful business. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Jonell McDonald. 

Survivors include his wife, Lynda; his son, Allen Shane McDonald; his grandsons, Camerson Shane McDonald, and Tanner Scot Woods; granddaughter, Morgan Brooke Woods; great grandsons Cason and Carson McDonald; Son-in-law, Zachary Scot Woods; sisters, Evelyn Elaine Jordan and Dorothy Jeanette Van-Camp; and brother, Curtis Ray McDonald. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 28, 2022 at 1pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
