Debra Susie Newkirk was born on February 25, 1955 to George and Verata Smith, in Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Newkirk transitioned from labor to reward on February 12, 2020 in Longview, Texas.

Debra will reunite in heaven with her beloved parents, George C. Smith and Verata Dee Smith; sister, Georgie Ann Carlie; and brother, Clifton Wayne Smith.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Shelly Deann Cordova( Rick); son, Michael David Cockerman (Amber); grandchildren, Benjamin of Saginaw, Texas, Bailey, and Braden both of Mineral Wells, Texas; sisters, May Dean Easterling and Linda Joyce Byrd.
