Mr. Don Roy Daniels was born on June 14, 1938 to Dan and Evelyn Adams Daniels in Lubbock,Texas. He was the eldest of seven children.
After graduating from Langston University, Don was band director of Bonham and San Angustine High School. He later returned to Lubbock to work at Texas Employment Commision. Don's love of people was evident in his choice of secular work. He was approachable and people could relate to him. Sylvias's sister saw him as "precious" when they met.
Don was baptized in 1967 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and saw his ministry as the most important work he could do. He showed his love for mankind by sharing Bible truths with those he met.
Many who knew Don, knew he was an avid bowler. He also loved to play basketball, and enjoying playing with our youth. A little known fact; Don loved shopping,as well as all types of music and dancing. Don married his loving wife; Sylvia Richardson in 2005. Don is preceded in death with his parents Dan Daniels, and Evelyn Adams Daniels; his sister Lynda Watford.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Sylvia Richardson Daniels ; daughter Melanie Daniels of Lawton, Ok; one grandchild Chutney Johnson (Robert) of Dallas, Tx, four great-grandsons; Quadri Menton, Jaydn Turner, Raqi and Roayace Johnson of Dallas, Tx , sisters ; Wanda White, Earnestine Boyd (Curtis) of Denver, CO, Patricia Ringo of Dallas, Tx, brothers; Dr. Kenneth Daniels (Linda) of Dallas, Tx,Clifford Adams (Michelle) of St. Louis, MO, one aunt; Ruby Davis of Lubbock Tx. Many nieces, nephews, and worldwide brotherhood of friends.
Mrs. Sylvia and the Daniels family extends its heartfelt appreciation of the loving care offered to them and their loving father; and for at the love shown during this time.
