Donald Priestley Obituary

Donald Wayne Priestley was born November 30, 1953, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Shortly after birth, he was adopted by AC and Dorthy Alford. He spent his early childhood in East Texas before moving to California.  After high school, Donald enlisted in the military, dedicating several years to the United States Marine Corps and the United States Coast Guard.  After returning to civilian life, he became a fantastic car salesman and believed that he could sell ANYTHING to ANYONE.  However, due to his challenging health issues, he retired from the car business.

Shortly after moving back to East Texas, Donald married D’Jaunisha Robinson and became affectionately known as “Pops”. He loved his family and loved to laugh. Donald left a lasting mark on everyone he met, and his presence will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Pothie Dunnings; sisters, Linda Priestley, Stephanie Alford, Ella Mae Cook, Helen Nilms and his twin, Rhonda Emerson; brothers, Otis Priestley, Tony Alford, Ben Glen and Ballard McPherson.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, D’Jaunisha Priestley; daughters; Fugica (Aaron) Woods, Denesha Robinson and D’Quesha Boyd; sons; Tony Boyd and Jamal Dunnings; sister, Clemmie Roberts; brothers; Kevin (Gwendolyn) Alford, Lloyd Priestley and Willis Priestley; goddaughter, RaKiyah Lewis; special nephew, Derrick Cook; special niece, Sherry Reed; his dog "KayKay"; and a host of other family and friends.
