Donald Wayne Priestley was born November 30, 1953, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Shortly after birth, he was adopted by AC and Dorthy Alford. He spent his early childhood in East Texas before moving to California. After high school, Donald enlisted in the military, dedicating several years to the United States Marine Corps and the United States Coast Guard.
