Dorothy Marie Faggans

Dorothy Marie Faggans, was born October 20, 1936, in Longview, Texas to M.T. and Gladys Faggans.

Ms. Faggans departed her earthly vessel and transitioned to her new home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at HavenCare Nursing Home in Longview.

She was educated in the Longview and Rockwall Independent School Districts later attending Kilgore College.

Dorothy accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was affiliated with various churches throughout her spiritual journey.

Her work history included Head Start, First Baptist Church, Sabine Valley, and Texas Workforce Commission where she retired in 2007.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Every Mae Coleman and Otis Jones.

Cherishing her memories is her daughter, Loretta Faggans; sons, Rocklan Faggans (Ceolar), Malcome Faggans, and Gantry Faggans (Halacia); sisters, Carolyn Gentry (Duane) of Longview, Texas, Willene Pickrom, Willie Mae Ngene, Vallie Lee Willis (Tony), and Evelyn Cathy Wilson all of Kilgore, Texas; brothers, William D. Otis Faggans and Kennedy Pickrom of Dallas, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, two bonus sons, Huey Blackmon and Anthony Webb; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
