Ellen Mary Daimwood

Ellen Mary Daimwood passed away on December 11, 2022, at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell and Mary Latham Daimwood; brothers James Russell Jr. and David Paul, and one sister Anna Maria.

Ellen graduated from Longview High School in 1975, where she was a Viewette. She earned an Associate of Science degree from Kilgore College and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Homor Society. Ellen then attended the University of Texas at Tyler and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.

Ellen became a Christian in her teen years and attended several Longview churches. She enjoyed Phil Hook's bible studies and frequented the 'Joy House' Christian coffee house in Longview, Texas. Like Saint Dorcas of Joppa, she dedicated much of her time to making and freely giving away beautiful, handmade crocheted blankets.

Ellen is survived by one son, Samuel Latham Daimwood and his wife Shaoli; and three beautiful grandchildren Cassidy Rain, River Twain and Dallas Paine, of Singapore.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
