Elvis Mathis Jr.

Elvis Mathis, Jr., was born May 4, 1946, in Lamesa, Texas to Elvis Mathis, Sr. and Neice Jones Mathis.

He graduated from Mary C. Womack, class of 1966. Elvis was drafted in the US Army and was active until 1968.

Elvis held many jobs, including many years at Texas Utility and as a driver for Budweiser, after retirement he spent most of his time with his wife and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Carl Mathis, Glover C. Mathis, Dwayne 'Greyhound' Mathis, and Eugene 'Buck' Mathis; sisters, Lessie B. Mathis and Jennifer Mathis.

Elvis leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Eva Stoxstell Mathis; daughters, Angela Parker of Dallas, Tx., Alisa Stoxstell of Longview, Tx., Tina Brown of Raleigh, NC, and Glinda Thompson of Odessa, Tx.; son, Elvin 'Bo' Mathis of Longview, Tx.; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
