Fletcher Hicks

Mr. Fletcher Hicks, was born on November 29th, 1932, in Fentress, Texas to Earnest Hicks and Lillie Mae Hubbard.  He married Eddie Ruth Gaskin on December 31st, 1952.  They were married 57 and a half years, until she was called home by the Lord on June 17th, 2010. 

He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, before being employed at the Lubbock Club. He opened his first business in 1977 and later retired from the Lubbock Club in 1979, to focus on his entrepreneur businesses.  These businesses included Hicks Solar Car Wash, Hicks Solar Roller, an oil investment business, a gas station, ownership of a cell phone tower, and a real estate portfolio of numerous properties.

He is survived by sons, Ulysses (Diane) and Darryl (Lone); daughter, Drue (Lew); as well as grandchildren, Tammy, De’Quisha, Chas, Jerrell, Rebekah, Daphne, Nikidra, Daryan, Jerrick, Joi, Kristian and Joshua.
