"Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise"
Gloria Jamerson, was born June 25, 1949 in Longview, Texas, to Clarence and Robbie Hatcher. She was a 1967 graduate of Mary C. Womack. Gloria worked many years at Good Shepherd Hospital as a Physical Therapy Aide.
Gloria's earthly journey ended on Friday, June 9, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends. The highlight of her life was spending time with family and friends and sharing her convictions about the Lord. She was always ready to hold a conversation with all whom she met. Gloria was always the jokester at all family gatherings and had to have the last word. She loved shopping for hours in Wal-Mart, then going out to eat and riding listening to the oldies.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter, Tomesha Jamerson; her handsome sons, Jobby (Lucinda) Jamerson, Jr. and Tony (Regina) Jamerson; four brothers, Hubert Hatcher, Billie Hatcher, Clarence (Charolette) Hatcher Jr, and Larry Hatcher; six grandchildren, Kybrien, Khylieh, Keelan, Tonyriah, Devin, and Gabrielle; sister in law/sister, Cherry (Hatcher) Cooper; three special nieces, Delores, Dawn and Rokesha; two special nephews, Correy and LeChet; special friend Brenda Culpepper; and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews , cousins, and friends.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Jobbie Jamerson Sr.; parents, Clarence Sr. and Robbie Hatcher; brothers, R.C. Hatcher, Willie Hatcher, and Wilbert Hatcher; and one special sister, whom she loved dearly, Melvin Marie Benton.
Although she will be missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
