Gwendolyn Cuba Obituary


Ms. Gwendolyn Cuba was born July 11, 1959 in Tyler, Texas to the parentage of Herman Moore and Annie Mae Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Cleo Moore, Sammeul Moore and Charles Moore.


Gwendolyn is a 1977 graduate of Winona High School, she received her Associate In Business from Tyler Junior College in 1980 and further her education at Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas where she received her Bachelor of Business.


Ms. Gwendoyln married Michael W. Cuba on June 18, 1982 and to this union two children were born.


She was a member of Miracle Center Church  in Tyler, Texas for 15 years and served as church secretary and member of the choir.
Her prior membership was served at Eagle Mt. Sanctuary of Love in Mineola, Texas for 23 years and Smith Chapel COGIC in Winona, Texas

Ms. Gwendolyn worked at University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas in Neurology for  1  1/2 years ,she then transfered to Human Resources as Travel Coordinator for 4 1/2 years, then to Purchasing as a Buyer and an Assistant HUB Coordinator with a certificate of CTPM [Certified Texas Purchasing Manager] as of August 2012 in Purchasing for 14 years and retired as of August 2020. Gwendolyn also served as a memeber of The Women of Tyler Organization.


She previously worked at Sleeping Bag Company in Winona, Texas; Greenberg Smoke Turkey; Hawkins Care Center; The Clarimont Nursing Home; Dr. Carls Wesbrook [secretary]; South Land District Center; Substitute Teacher at Jackson Height/Chapel Hill Elementary; E & W Home Care and  Jarvis Christian College Day Care.


Ms. Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memories daughter Andrea LaShae Cuba; son Jeremy DeWayne Cuba; grandchildren LaDarius T. Adams, LaKendrea S. Adams, Johnathan Cuba, Cameron Cuba, Jadea Cuba, Jerdyza Cuba, Jeremyah Cuba and a host of  family and friends.
