On Friday, September 15, 1933, in Archie, Louisiana, Huey was born to the parentage of Henry and Annie Williams.
Huey “HP” Wiliams was raised in Archie, Louisiana where he created many memories with his siblings. HP enjoyed the great outdoors; he was fond of fishing and hunting. Life later led Huey to Tenaha, Texas where he joined and attended church at St. John’s Baptist Church. He served there as a devoted member until his demise.
He was quite the family man, devoting more than 50 years of his life hauling logs as a truck driver to ensure he took care of his family. Family oriented, caring, loving, dedicated, faithful, and hardworking are just a few words to use when describing HP. Until the blessed age of 80, Huey worked every day.
His wife, Ether Williams; children, Earnest Williams and Tamiesha Williams; sisters, Clara Lea Bishop, Virgil Chambers, Thelma Tyler, Rosemary Howard; brothers, Rosevelt Howard, Billy Joe Howard, Sammy Howard, Alex (Red) Williams, Clay Williams, and Bobby Williams all greeted him at Heaven’s gates on the morning of Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
