James Calvin Neal

Mr. James Calvin Neal, affectionately known as Uncle Sonny, was born on June 6, 1935 in Longview, Texas to Lucillous and Murtice Crain Neal. 

Mr. Neal went to school until he reached the 4th grade due to an illness. Later in his senior years, he attended Longview Adult Daycare and enjoyed every moment. 

Mr. Neal was a firm believer of Jesus Christ and attended church as much as he could. He attended Fleming Street Church of Christ, Willow Springs Baptist Church, Hughes Chapel C.M.E. Church, and Bethel Temple of Longview. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Murtice Crain Neal; father, Lucillous Neal; and 8 siblings; Pink Neal, Walter Mae Desseaure, Johny Mae Ingram, Minnie D. Walker, John Calvin Neal, Harvey James Neal, Ida Jewel Neal - Alexander, and Kay Francis Neal York. 

He leaves to cherish his memories; his entire loving family and some special loving caretakers; Lisa, Joshua, Linda, Caesar, Chris, D'Angelo, and Petey who loved him dearly. He also leaves one special granddaughter, Akiva Knighton, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
