John Carpenter Obituary


John Carpenter, was born on June 8, 1986, in Longview, TX to Willie Thearby Carpenter and Ethel Carpenter.  He was their long waited for son who they loved very much.  He was the third of four children.  John was a graduate of Longview High School and Devry University, and he had a career in Information Technology.  He was a Christian who exemplified these qualities in the life that he lived.

 
John was united in marriage to Dominique (Thomas) Carpenter in 2009.  He had five boys, John Carpenter Jr., Chase Carpenter, Ethan Carpenter, Eli Carpenter, and Kobe Carpenter.  John was a devoted father and a very loving husband.

 
John was employed with PCL Construction in the Information Technology Unit.  He was well liked by his coworkers due to his caring heart and spirit.  


John loved Jiu Jitsu and won several gold medals while competing, and he was loved by all of his Jiu Jitsu teammates.  He worked hard to become the best he could be, and he is encouraging his teammates in spirit.

  
John was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Carpenter; and his grandmother, Mattie Hawkins. 

He is survived by his wife and children, his father, his sisters, Shelicia Smith, Meridith Black, and Darrielle Petty; and a host of nieces and nephews.  


John departed this life unexpectedly on July 11, 2022.  He was an inspiration to all, and he will be greatly missed by friends and family members alike.
