Johnathon Session Obituary

 

Johnathon Session was born on May 22, 1993, to Renika Session and Lewis Silmon II, in Jacksonville, Texas. Johnathon peacefully transitioned to eternity on January 11, 2023.
 

Johnathon received his education from Jacksonville Schools from early childhood until the twelfth grade. He graduated from Jacksonville High School with the class of 2011. Johnathon briefly attended Navarro College afterwards.

Johnathon attended and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, TX.


Johnathon was often affectionately regarded as “Smiley”, “Wonty”, “The-The”, Johnny and John by his parents, siblings, close family members and friends. For most of Johnathon’s life he lived in Jacksonville, TX. He later moved to Houston, TX where he lived for the past two almost three years before transitioning. Throughout Johnathon’s life he had many accomplishments. Some of his accomplishments in school were in sports for basketball and football. Johnathon played for the Little Dribblers, AAU, and won awards throughout the years in sports. Johnathon had many hobbies. Some of those hobbies include watching the New Orleans Saints which was his favorite football team. He enjoyed spending time with his family, training and playing with his dog Remy, reading, and learning about trade. Before his passing, Johnathon had a newfound desire to learn more about trade and pursue business.

Johnathon will be fondly remembered for his infectious laughter, beautiful smile, dependability, intense love for his family and strong yet caring nature. His smile, hugs, sense of humor and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Johnathon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Janet C. Session, Helen R. Silmon and Lewis Silmon I. In addition, his loving, sweet aunt he adored, Michelle A. Session.


Those left to cherish precious memories of Johnathon include his loving parents Renika Session and Lewis Silmon II. His siblings Rashod Hollis, Sherika Session, JW Session, Derek Session and LaDarius Session. His nephew Alavian Hollis, nieces Raniah Hollis, Nyomi Session, Lauryn Session, Alivia Hollis, and R’Mani Session. His maternal grandfather Hubert B. Johnson. His aunts: Sonya Hutchinson (Troy) of Wichita Falls, Ruth Webb of Houston, and Tonya Foluke (Ayinde) of Jacksonville, uncles: Bishop Silmon (Tameka) and Todd Silmon (Shandrea) of Houston, cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and friends.
