Joyce Jean Dawkins

Joyce Jean Dawkins was born on June 14, 1962, to the late Erma Owens and Harvey Dawkins. Joyce was called home to rest on March 25, 2025.

Affectionately known as "Sassy" to many, and "Joyce Jean" or "Aunt Joyce" to others, Joyce enjoyed playing pool, shopping, crafting, doing hair, and traveling.

Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings: Larry Christian, Sammy Bush, Lamar Dawkins, and Harriet.

She leaves to mourn: one son, Cory Dawkins; two grandchildren, MaCorian and Cory Dawkins, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Harlym Miller; two brothers, George Sanders and Ray Sanders; three sisters, Verdean Watkins, Vickey Sanders, and Marylyn Sanders; a special friend, Freddy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
