On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, God sent his Angels of Love for our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend - Kendall De Shaun' Sammons.
Kendall was born to the parents of Johnny and Carol Sammons of Longview, Texas on February 7, 1987, three years and six months after his brother, Keithian D. Sammons. He was a very active member of Galilee Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age.
Kendall attended Longview ISD from elementary through high school and graduated in the Class of 2005. While attending Forest Park Middle school, he played football and was a member of the band. He served as the President of the National Junior Honor Society and was later selected by the Governor of Texas to represent students of the east Texas Region at state. While attending Longview High School, he was Secretary of the Student Council, inducted into the National Honor Society, President of Top Teens of Distinction, a member of the Student Ambassador Club, served as a member of the Longview Youth Advisory Committee, Youth President of Partners and Prevention, and a Texas Globe Scholar with Distinction. He was also a four year scholar and teammate of the Longview Lobos Football team where he was the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
After graduating from Longview High School, he attended Stephen F. Austin University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree [B.B.A.] in Marketing and Finance.
Upon graduating from SFA, he relocated to Los Angeles, California where he began his career as a Junior Marketing Executive at Abrams Artist Talent Agency working with some of today's upcoming talent. He then earned a role at Jupi Corporation where he worked as one of the Brand Managers for the Kardashians, which gave him industry recognition and accessibility to work with Five Four Soul, Works Entertainment Group, and Instaco.
As a professional, Kendall was creative, expanding the vision of Celebrity Brands, Fashion Labels, Music Videos, and Television Shows. He prided himself on being a loving force while working in an industry filled with excitement and longevity. as a friend, he was always willing to give the best advice and words of encouragement by being an example of light. He was wise, intelligent, bold, and caring. Many looked to Kendall as being the life of the party, effortlessly connecting people with his amazing smile.
On May 4, 2021, Kendall fulfilled God's purpose on earth and rose to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at his side, along with his beloved Grandmother, Juanita Pittman and his Grandfathers, J.P. Sammons and Moran Pittman.
His memory will live forever in the lives of his father, Johnny Sammons; mother Carol Sammons; brother, Keithian Sammons, and his sidekick [dog] "Big Shot" Sammons. He was blessed to have a loving grandmother, Kareather Sammons, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will continue his legacy.
