Diane Crawford
March 8, 1949 to June 27, 2023
With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Diane Crawford. Diane was born, Kyla Diane Billingsley, on March 8, 1949 to Bob and Evelyn Billingsley, in Memphis, Texas. She passed on June 27, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family.
Diane grew up in the panhandle of Texas, and graduated from Friona High School in 1967. She met the love of her life in the fifth grade, Ray Crawford, and got married on October 10, 1968. Diane went on to raise five children and get her nursing degree. She worked BSA, the VA, and later transitioned to her calling as a hospice nurse in Amarillo, Texas.
Diane enjoyed crafting and sewing, including making her own clothes. She was a devout Baptist and loved traditional gospel music, especially by Alan Jackson. Out of the things she accomplished in life, she was most proud of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Tammie; and her great-grandson, Isaac.
She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 55 years, Ray Crawford; her sons, Glenn, Kyle (Luann), Gerry (Bonnie), and Jon; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Danville in Kilgore, Texas. Honorary pallbearers are Quinton Mullenix, Josh Hilleary, Kolten Crawford, Scott Milner, Riley Mullenix, Chris Reynolds, Nathan Hilleary, and Tanner Crawford.
