LaDawn Ingram Obituary

LaDawn’s initial debut was when she was born to Luster and Dorothy Ingram on July 29, 1973, she was a beautiful bouncing ball of Joy. She knew she was the “Star” of the family, being her parent’s baby love. LaDawn attended school at HISD and also attended Trinity private school, where she found her passion for acting.

LaDawn was a devout Christian and had accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, being baptized at Galilee Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas under JD Beckworth with her siblings.

LaDawn graduated from Hallsville High School in 1991. Her classmates claim she was the “light” of their class. LaDawn earned degrees from Kilgore College, UT Tyler, and Argosy University.

Her sparkle for life, and her love for children, made her a great mentor and specialist in shaping and helping many children and families in East Texas, serving in the capacity as a counselor for almost 20 years; also working for the State of Texas, as a Blind Children specialist for Health and Human Services, prior to her working part time with Lane Bryant where her love for clothes and fashion she was able to help other full-figured women find their flair.

LaDawn’s zest for life made her a natural star for many with her love for dance and acting. She performed all her life doing dramas, plays, and dancing but was exhilarated when she actually became a paid actress and taking acting lessons made her want to go even further with her life’s passion for being on the big screen.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Luster Ingram; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie D. Yarbrough and Hattie Mae Yarbrough of Tyler, Texas; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rev. Lewis Terry Ingram and Bertha Mae Ingram of Hallsville Texas.

She leaves to mourn her mother ,Dorothy Ingram-Traylor; her immediate family, her special children, whom she loved and reared, LaDarius Ingram, Dalysiann “Mae” Ingram, Luster “LT” Ingram, and D’ayjah Ingram; her sisters, who loved her deeply, Paula Borens (George), Valisya Ingram; her brothers, Luster Ingram Sr. (Kelly) and John Johnson (LaVera); her nephews, who adored her, Anthony Meredith, Shed Borens, Brandon Borens, and Torrance Lattimore; and many special relatives including Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. LaDawn never met a stranger and everyone in the world was her “Friend”.

LaDawn’s last dance on Earth was August 22, 2022 when she stepped up and accepted the hand of our Lord and Savior. Her transition was peaceful and we were able to witness her soul take flight. Her family takes solace in knowing she is a beautiful Angel in Heaven telling all the other Angels her stories and also dancing her happy dance for Jesus.
