Mae, a beautiful bouncing baby girl was born September 14, 1935 to the proud parents of Frank, and Nettie Andrews. She was raised a few miles outside of Dallas, TX in a small town called Whitewright, Texas.
At 5 years old, the family moved to Muskogee, OK where she attended school.
Mae loved helping people, and was very wise for her age, which led her to become a Care giver, and begin working for many of the local nursing homes. She later married Will Brown of Muskogee, Ok, and to that union 3 children were born: Mary Ann, Marcie Willette, and William David. After their divorce, years later, she had a Son, Kim Brown, who preceded her in death.
Her wonderful personality could be stern when needed, but she had the biggest heart. However, she was not the typical grandmother, but was everybody’s Big Momma, and made all her grandchildren feel like her favorite. Even though she was easy to talk to, she never minced words about her feelings.
In 2017, Mae’s health began to deteriorate. Her grandson DeJay, and niece Sharone provided care for her until her son David moved her to Mesquite, TX where she was taken very good care of by her other grandchildren, Madolyn (Skeet), and James (Tiger), until God called her home. She will be missed by all because she was such a one-of-a-kind type of lady.
Mae is survived by her children, Mary Ann House of Muskogee, Ok, Marcie Willette Nash (Delbert) of Tulsa, Ok, and William David Brown of Mesquite, TX; Grandchildren, James (Tiger), Mike, Madolyn, DeJay, Elwood, James(Tre), and Jackie; Two loving sisters, Lucille Love of Tulsa, and Evelyn Allen of Okmulgee; along with a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. And a host of loving friends.
