Marie Fuller Johnson, was the youngest of five, born to the late Zeal and Callie Mae Daniels Fuller on June 30, 1935 in Hallsville, Texas. As a young lady, she attended Hallsville Public Schools.
Marie met Joseph Johnson in Junior High School and later united in Holy Matrimony on August 26, 1952. This union was blessed with five daughters and three sons. Her husband and three children, Cynthia, Gary, and Jerome; preceded her in death along with four siblings, Oscar, Rayford, Ella May and Rainy.
She was an active member of East Cotton Street Church of Christ of Longview, Texas.
Marie was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife. She enjoyed attending church, reading, baking, and a good song and dance session with family. When her children were young, she enjoyed watching her sons play football. Marie often took road trips to gather with her sister, Ella May's, family in Ft. Worth, Texas with her husband and grandchildren in 'tow'. She loved to take long rides on Sunday evenings through the country with her children and husband, Joseph Sr. of 58 years.
On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in Longview, Gregg County, Texas, Marie peacefully accepted God's call into eternal life.
Her memories are cherished by her children, Beverly D. Johnson, Brenda Jo (Elvers) Lacy, Barbara D. (Charles) Phillips, Debra Kaye (Jesse) Reese, Joseph Jr., and Carl Wayne (Vanda) Johnson; twelve grandchildren, LaShanna Washington, Rashall Ross, Cameo and April Phillips, Jamark, Ketun, Jessica and Jasmine Reese, Jordan and Jolie Johnson, and Brittany and Morgan Johnson; and many loved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
