Michael D. Aldridge, loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many, went to meet his Lord and Savior at age 68 on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 1:33 p.m.
Michael was born August 2, 1953, at the US Bolling Air Force Base Hospital, Washington, D.C., to Hancel Dee Aldridge and Mary Lou (McClure) Aldridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He was survived by his wife, Anita Chambers Aldridge of Gladewater, TX, a son Justin and wife Courtney Aldridge of New Mexico, a stepson, Jason Nutt of Gladewater, TX, a sister, Deborah and husband Dick Mercer of Conway Springs, Kansas, a brother, David and wife, Debra Aldridge of Gladewater, TX. 7 grandchildren, 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
Michael was retired after 30 years from Shipps Marine in Gladewater, TX. His hobbies included modeling and the love of building models, which he had an extensive collection and a story about each one of them. He also enjoyed collecting Snap-on Tools.
Michael's wishes were to be cremated and placed in a Dale Earnhart urn and for his family and friends to have a celebration of his life. Which will be announced later.
Michael was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
