Moses Gene McDonald, Sr. was born on September 19, 1965 in Lubbock , Texas to Darlene McDonald Clark of Longview, Texas. He grew up and attended school in Lubbock, Texas.

He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Rising Star Church of God in Christ in Gladewater, Texas.

Moses enjoyed fishing, music, singing, bible reading, traveling, family ,cutting a rug [dancing], and cooking.

Moses leaves to cherish his memories son Moses [Charity] McDonald, Jr. of Gilmer, Texas; grandchildren Myah McDonald, Cayden McDonald, A'nyah McDonald all of Gilmer, Texas, Kalise McDonald of Irving, Texas; mother Darlene McDonald Clark of Longview, Texas; brothers Marvon McDonald, Sr. and  Stacey McDonald both of Longview, Texas; special friend J. C. Russell of Waco, Texas and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, acquaintances and friends.
