Larry Dewayne Thomas was born November 9, 1960, to Clister Ray Thomas, Sr. and Lizzie Mae Stoker Thomas, in the Valley View Community of Diana, TX. He attended and graduated from New Diana Independent School District, while there he participated as a drummer in the band.
Larry, also known as “LT”, had a lifelong career as a commercial tire repairman; previously working for General Tire Company, A-Z Tire, Commercial Tire Company, and Moore’s Goodyear Tire Company. Larry was self-employed for several years until he recently started working with Longview Bridge (Mac’s Trucking), until his health began to fail in mid- April. Larry was a very private, quiet, mild mannered, hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. He loved his jerseys, Chuck Taylors, motorcycles, but loved his girls even more; everyone that knew Larry would tell you he would pull the clouds from the sky for them. Larry’s favorite sayings was “I’m going to live to be 100, I’m pretty and my sickles pretty!”
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Stoker (Big Momma/lady who raised him); a sister; Melinda Bennett; and niece; Erica V. Hollins.
He leaves to Cherish his memories are his sons, Keon Dewayne Thomas and Emmanuel Lee Thomas; daughters, Tambria Niesha Thomas (Pootie) and Tamara Marie Thomas (Peanut) all of Longview, TX; siblings, Francine (Ray) Palmer of Gilmer, TX, Clister Ray Thomas, Jr. (Joe Boy) of Longview, TX, Luster (Shalonda)Thomas of Gilmer, TX, Paula Bowser of North Carolina, and Bobby Thomas of Dallas, TX; nieces and nephews, Friends; Michael Frazier Andrews, Claude Montgomery, Keith Daniels, Marcus Adams; Frank & Mr. Jack (Donnell Pipe Co.); and a very special friend, that was by his side until he took his last breath, Donna LaGrone or “D” as he called her.
Social Distancing WILL be enforced at graveside service. Face masks are suggested, but not required.
