Rickey was spiritually affiliated with the Upper Room Church of Longview Texas.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Pamela Butler; sons, Tyease Butler, and Jade Nelson; daughters, Aja Butler, and Angie Harvey; grandchildren, Dionte Harvey, Chris Harvey, Corey Harvey, Jadae Nelson, Jade Nelson, Rajani Butler, Iviana Williams, Tyease Butler Jr., and Kobe Butler; brothers,Clinton Butler, and Craig Butler.
