Murry Curtis Philips

Mr. Murry Curtis Philips was born on September 27, 1961 in Jefferson County, Texas to Elizabeth Ann Davis and Murry Thomas Philips. He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Philips and his sister, Renee Philips Warmke.

Curt worked in the oilfield from 1977 to 2009.

On May 17, 2003, Murry married Pamela Evans in Layfayette, Louisana.  The couple found their 'happy place' for the past 13 years in Avinger, Texas.

Curt is survived by his wife, Pamela Evans Philips; mother, Ann Philips; step-daughter, Christina Fontenot; step grandchildren, Hunter Fontenot, Broc Fontenot, Allen John [A.J.] Fontenot; brother in laws,  Rod Warmke, Billy Evans, Gary [Monette] Evans; sister in laws, Deborah Evans Judice [Howard], Terri Evans Pagitt; niece, Randi Burleson [Brett] and their children, Rylee, Briggs, and Wells Burleson; nephew, Ryan [Holly] Warmke and their children Camden and Amber; aunts and uncles, Paula Davis, Bob and Sandy Philips, Ben and Nelda Pessel, Ed and Lorna Philips; and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Avinger 300 West Depot St. Avinger, Tx. 75630.
