Nobie Williams Obituary

On January 4th, 1964, an angel named Nobie Denise Williams was born to Mack Williams Jr., and Mozelle Williams, who both preceded her in death, along with her grandparents and sister, Maxine Owens. Nobie was born and raised in Longview, Texas, where she attended and graduated from Longview High School in 1982. During this time, she gave birth to her son, Damar Williams. Later, she relocated to Dallas, Texas, to further her education at El Centro Community College. While in Dallas, she met William Taylor and together they had two children, Darrin Taylor and Nikia Taylor.

Nobie accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith throughout her life. While living in Dallas, she became an employee at Belmont Village Senior Living, where she was a hardworking and dedicated employee and caregiver; she was a valued and cherished part of the Belmont Village Family. Cookie, as affectionally called, was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend

On May 29, 2024, God saw that she was growing tired and decided to bring her by his side. He put His arms around her and whispered, "Come with me." It was hard to disguise, our tearful eyes, as she passed away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, and hardworking hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. She left behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, that will be forever embraced by her sons, Damar Williams and Darrin Taylor; daughter, Nikia Taylor; niece/daughter, Stacey Williams; grandchildren, Darrion Williams and Damaria Williams; great-granddaughter, Ma'Kylie Williams; brothers, Johnny Wright (Kimberly) and Roscoe Williams; sisters, Elizabeth Lister (Jimmy), Cheryl Wright, and Regina Williams-Thomas (Anthony); a loving host of special nieces and nephews, dear friends, Daphne and Mark Bell, Paula and Bobby Hamilton, and Mary Buchanan.

Nobie always greeted everyone with a big beautiful smile and a flower in her hair. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
