Pastor Ronald Glover Obituary

Pastor Ronald Glover, born on October 13, 1962, in Bartlett, Texas, was deeply influenced by his humble beginnings and devout upbringing in the church. Moving to Los Angeles to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Pastor Glover’s, Bishop D.L. Jones recognized the calling on his life and provided guidance throughout his ministry. His goal was to serve and minister to the masses, ultimately bringing saints to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. His primary message remained unchanged until the end: "One Direction: Forward. One Goal: Kingdom Building."

Renowned for his genuine warmth and compassion, Pastor Glover had a remarkable ability to forge meaningful connections with everyone he encountered, whether familiar faces or strangers. He believed and lived by Matthew 37-39: “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” His innate kindness and welcoming demeanor left an indelible impression on the lives he touched, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie within the community he served. With an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and fellowship, Pastor Glover's legacy resonates far beyond mere acquaintanceship, embodying the profound impact of genuine human connection.

Upon relocating to Longview, Texas, in 1998, Pastor Glover assumed the role of founding pastor at The Living Gospel Church, Longview Assembly, where he established a ministry rooted in compassion, humor, and relatability. Alongside emphasizing the importance of charity and a deep understanding of the Word of God, Pastor Glover infused his ministry with comedic elements, making spiritual teachings both entertaining and accessible to all. Furthermore, he passionately encouraged the youth to explore their musical talents, drawing from his own experience in playing the trumpet and tambourine. His leadership extended to spearheading both the church choir and the youth ministry, creating a vibrant atmosphere of brotherhood, sisterhood, and spiritual connection through the transformative power of music and worship.

As a committed husband, father, and role model, Pastor Glover imparted to his family and congregation the importance of financial literacy, service, and embodying the teachings of God's word in their daily lives. Passionate about education and morals, Pastor Glover pushed his children and grandchildren to excel academically, and uphold high standards of ethics. He instilled in them the importance of serving God faithfully, regardless of life's circumstances. His passing leaves a void felt deeply by the Longview assembly, The Living Gospel Church, and the broader Body of Christ. Pastor Glover is survived by his wife of 40 years, Katherine Glover; their six children, grandchildren, and numerous family members, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and community.
