Patricia Mims

I could not stay another day to laugh; to love, to work or play. Tasks undone must stay that way. I have found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, fill it now with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, all things I too shall miss. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, but don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted me now. He set me free.

Patricia Ann Mims, was born April 14, 1973 to Joyce Marie Mims. She attended Pine Tree School. She gave her life to Christ at a young age, while attending First Apostolic Church of Longview, Texas. Patricia was employed by Elara Care as a caregiver.

On August 21,2023 a heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands were put to rest, and a beautiful life came to a close, when her Master called her home to enter into eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted partner of 27 years, Ray Noble Scott; two sons, Brandon Webb and Billy Evers, both of Longview, Texas; three daughters, Raven Parker of Marshall, Texas; Rayshondra Murphy of Clarksville, Texas; Shakoreyan Evers of Longview, Texas; six grandchildren, Malaysia, Maleah, Brielle and Brooke Lynn Evers, and Brai’lynn and Brandynn Webb; eight sisters, Pamela Horton (twin), Jacklyn Mims Carr, Sophia Mims Moody, Vickie Mims Griffin, Sheila Mims, Joycelyn Mims Lockett, Debbie Mims Templeton, and Sherry Mims, all of Longview, Texas; five brothers, Devin Mims, Marcus Mims, Patrick Mims, Kerry Mims, and Raymond Mims, all of Longview, Texas; step-son, Ray Scott Jr.(Marneitha Scott) of Longview, Texas; a host of nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Shenite Wabbington.
