Ralph Dale Gideon, Jr., was born on September 4, 1952, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Ralph D. Gideon, Sr. and Anna Walker Gideon.
Ralph was a brave and proud sailor, serving our country through the United States Navy from 1971 until 1976. While serving in the Navy, Ralph worked as a part of the 911 water transportation team and was also a rescue diver. Ralph took part in several Apollo and Skylab rescue missions. After completing his time with the Navy, Ralph found joy in building things, fishing, camping, boating, the ocean, water sports, and playing online games with his son.
On Saturday, August 2, 2014, Ralph married his wife of 7 years. The two shared many memories together. Ralph and Pamela shared a dog together, Askhym.
At 7:31 pm on Friday, October 1, 2021, after 69 years and 27 days on Earth, Ralph went to be with Jesus. While many on Earth will miss him and hated to see him leave, he had loved ones waiting to see him in Heaven; including his father, Ralph Gideon; and Julie Gideon.
Ralph lived a beautiful life and has left many joyous memories for his wife, Pamela Kay Gideon; his mother, Anna; children, Michael Gideon, Tammy Gideon, Angela Gideon, Brian Gideon, and Toby Gideon; brother, Frank Gideon; sister, Sherrie Gideon; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
