A Reflection of My Life
My name is Rayleene Smithson, my mother gave birth to me on Monday, October 14, 1963, in Torrence, California. As a small girl, I moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma and I lived there until I graduated high school. My three daughters, Teresa, Dakota, Emily, and I lived in areas of Oklahoma before I met my loving husband, Charles Smithson, and moved to Texas.
In 2002, my husband unfortunately passed away and my family and I moved to Longview, Texas. In Longview, I created a life full of love, laughter, and care. Everyone considered me to be the one that they could always turn to and count on. Many children, outside of my own, referred to me as “mama”. I absolutely adored and loved my sweet mother, loving children, my beautiful grandchildren, and my joyful grand-pup – they were my world!
In the early hours of June 26, 2024, my journey on earth came to an end, God granted me a peace that I never imagined – He brought me home to be with Him and my loved ones that went on before me. When I made it Heaven, I was greeted with so much love by my husband, Charles Smithson; dad, Edward “B” Spears; brother, Ricky Ovando; brother-in-law, Johnny Vega, and my sweet grandbaby, Hale.
I was blessed to live a life that was full of wonderful memories, that I created with my family. God blessed me with so many loving family members, that love me just as much as I love the Oklahoma Sooners – GO SOONERS! My loving, devoted, caring, and beautiful family included my dear mother, Teresa Spears; daughters, Teresa Karamanos, Dakota Brown, Emily Brown, Megan Boyd, Jasmine Boyd, and Haley Boyd; sons, Nashoba Brown, Nita Brown, Man Boyd, and Josh Smithson; grandchildren, Khylee Vactor, Kadence Cooks, Kateleigh Cooks, Kensley Hale, Kameron Rebollar, and Beaux Bradford-Karamanos; sister, Dolores Vega; and an abundance of other relatives and friends.
I love you all and always remember that I will forever have your back. Oh, and GO SOONERS!
