In the beginning-

Rosie was educated in the Longview Independent School District System. She graduated from Marcy C. Womack High School with the class of 1959.
At an early age, Rosie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord, and was baptized at Red Oak Baptist Church in Longview, Texas under the leadership of the late Pastor B.B. Brown.

May the works I've done speak for me-
Rosie Halton was employed with the Pine Tree Independent School District where she retired from 15 years of service. Rosie was a dedicated employee and took her responsibilities to heart. Rosie had a passionate, loving and kind soul to the elderly people. She received her CNA from Kilgore College and entered into healthcare as a caregiver, working with assisted living, and private home care for 20 years until she retired. Rosie was a good hard-working mother, she took care of her family, she always put her children before her. She didn't mind pitching in and helping others and relatives. I can't remember a day that I wasn't without any food and clothes, she always made sure family came first. This is her daughter Vickie speaking. I remembered when I was in Foster Jr. High School band was on my way to Shreveport to be in the parade. It was raining so hard we finally had to postpone the parade, because the rain would have damaged the band instruments. My mother had cooked me whole fried chicken, and biscuits, she said “if you get hungry you will have something to eat,” we ended up sitting on the bus. Then we all got hungry, I said “I got some chicken,” some of the members said, “girl pass me a piece of chicken, and biscuit.” We all got full and that was so funny to me. That's one of the memorable times for me, I could go on, now that was my mama!
My reward is Heaven-
On the afternoon of Saturday, March 8, 2025, Rosie answered the call from labor to reward. She leaves to mourn her passing five sisters, Etoial Hollins, Katherine Fulley Love, Lovette Powell, Alfrida Jones of Longview, Texas, and Lorraina Caldwell, of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Hubert Jones, Freeman Jones, and Henry L. Jones, Jr. of Longview Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
