Ruthie Mae Clay, was born September 25, 1947 in Tyler, Texas to the parentage of Herman Moore and Annie Mae Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents, children, Arnetia Clay, Jason, Jacob, and Andrew Clay; grandson, Gayland Cox Jr.; sister, Gwendolyn Cuba; and brothers, Cleo Herman, Samuel and Charles Moore.
Ruthie is a 1966 graduate of Winona ISD, and had some extended education at Texas College.
She was a faithful member of Eagle Mt. Sanctuary of Love in Mineola, Texas for more than 25 years.
Ruthie worked at UTHSC, Park Place NH, Greenberg Smoke Turkey, and Southland Corp.
Ruthie leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Vetria Cox; son, Thomas Clay; grandchildren, Emare Battles and Shavannah Cox; great grand children, Mya, Mariah, Jeremiah, and Jerniah Cox; brother, Anderson Moore; sisters, Eula Wells and Nancy (William) Franklin; special niece and nephews, Andrea Cuba, Christopher Young, and Jeremy Cuba; and a host of other family members and friends.
