Sherry Mapes

Our Beloved Sherry Lorraine Mapes,

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sherry. Throughout her life, Sherry was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance to her family and friends. Born on July 21st 1952 to Joyce Lee Ozment and Jim Allen, Sherry was a longtime resident of Longview, Texas. Sherry met the love of her life, Gaylen Mapes, and they were married July 24th 1999. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love and cherished memories. Some of Sherry's greatest accomplishments in this life were her children; Kevin Lane, Lawrence "Skooter" Bradley, Jeff Bradley and Robert Bradley.  Her face lit up and her eyes shone with love at just the mention of their names. Her love will be with them forever and always.Sherry was promoted from Mom to Nonnie as her family grew.  The addition of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren saw a love that grew beyond measure. In this difficult time, please remember that each of you held your own special place in her heart and her life was made complete just by you all being in it.

In lieu of a service, a celebration of life will be held at a later date for friends and family to share their special memories.
