Sylvia Woods Hawkins, was born on April 16,1954, in Pittsburg, Texas to Ceola Woods and Leroy Jenkins.

Mrs. Hawkins was a loving person who loved to take care of people and bake. She was nationally known for her mouthwatering pound cakes!

She is survived by her daughter, Sirmunia (Al Doctor) of Heartland, Texas; grandson, Ashton Hawkins of Dallas, Texas; sister, Vivians Woods of Pittsburg, Texas; brothers, Stephen P. (Sheila) Woods of Dangerfield, Texas and Earnest (Chandra) Woods of Daingerfield, Texas; God children whom she loved dearly, Christopher Pickney, Shaun W. Thomas, Lashonda Smalls, Brandon Knight, and Lakeish Lynch; and a host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly!
