Tanya Denise Call

Tanya Denise Call was born March 30, 1965 to Billy Joe and Betty Boyd McElroy. She graduated from Hallsville High School, class of 1983. She continued her education at Kilgore College and graduated from Bishop Mathis Institute, Longview, Texas.

Tanya started her career at Walmart and worked as a department manager.  She later became employed by East Texas Professional Credit Union where she dedicated 30 years of service. During her time there, she touched the lives of many people.

August 12,1989, Tanya married her love, Roderick Call. To this union, two beautiful children were born, Billy and Blakelea. Then later, the couple was blessed with an additional daughter, Kaleigha.

Tanya was a dedicated member of New Testament Pentecostal Church of Hallsville, Texas. She expressed her love for the Lord by serving in the Children’s Ministry and as Women’s Day Coordinator. She has always had a loving and giving heart which was so richly reflected during her time here on earth. She was a mother, aunt and friend to so many who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe McElroy; grandparents, Bennie McElroy, Ebbie Crayton McElroy, Arthur Boyd and Lucille Bonner Boyd.

Her memories are cherished by her husband of 35 years, Roderick Deroyce Call; children, Billy Joe McElroy Call (Tonnerica) of Hallsville, Tx; Blakelea Jewel Call of Longview, Tx; Kaleigha Peterson of Dallas, Tx; grandchildren, Blaine Gates-Call of Carthage, Tx; Bles’syn Call of Hallsville, Tx; mother, Betty Jewel McElroy; one brother, Mark McElroy (Demetra); and one sister, Kimberly Woodkins all of Hallsville, Tx; aunts, Bobbie Masters of Longview, Tx, Sheila Boyd Webster (L.C.) of Hallsville, Tx; uncles, Arthur Boyd Jr. (Barbara), Horace Boyd, Precious Boyd Sr., Wayne Boyd (Julia) all of Hallsville, Tx; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
