Tony Hicks Obituary

Landon and Sophia called him Papa T., but to Isaiah and Sam, he was simply Papa. Tony Earl Hicks was born on January 10, 1961, in Lone Star, Texas, to Samuel and Betty Anderson Hicks. He was the oldest of four children, one brother, Stevie Lorenzo Hicks (wife, Chiquita); two sisters, Janice Hicks of Lone Star, Texas, and Teresa Alexander-Hicks, who he now rests with in heaven.

Tony graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Texas, in 1980. He later completed welding training in Waco, Texas, where he met his beloved wife, Germaine. From their union, two beautiful daughters were born: Ivy Hargrove-Hicks (husband, David) and Crystal Hicks (partner, Benjamin).

Ivy and David blessed him with two grandsons, Isaiah Hicks and Sam Hicks-Hargrove. Crystal and Benjamin blessed him with one grandson, Landon Okpara-Hicks. He also brought joy to the lives of his nephews, Patrick and Christopher, and his niece, Jayla.

Tony worked for many years at Kraft. He later joined Storck Brewing Co., which eventually became MillerCoors, where he was sent to Germany for special training in the maintenance department. He served as Head of Maintenance and Technician. While living in the DFW metroplex, he attended Friendship-West Baptist Church and also worshiped at IBOC.

Tony loved the Lord and his family unconditionally. He leaves behind a legacy of love and is deeply missed by his family, aunts, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
