Virginia Hazel Hayes

The Reflections of Life

Ms. Virginia Hazel Hayes, was born November 16, 1941, to Maurice and Laura Hayes. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Alma J. Gonerway, Dorothy Galloway, and Billy Hayes Sr.; and two children, Gregory Hayes and Marcey Hayes.

She accepted Christ at a young age and became a member of Rollins Addition Church of Christ. She graduated from Mary C. Womack in 1960. She enjoyed traveling, baking, crocheting, and loved attending various activities with the church and collected antique dolls.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Shaylor McEntire; sister, Alice Hayes of Longview, Texas; sister-in-law, Kay Hayes; brother- in-law, Emory Gonerway Sr.; beloved grandchildren, Iesha McEntire, Amber McEntire, and Tamesha Polk; four great-grandchildren, Shamariie Pearson, Eversherri Pearson, Tylan Johnson, and Tai’Layah Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
