Whitney Ziemba Obituary

Whitney Marie Ziemba passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2021 at the age of 41 surrounded by loved ones.

Whitney was a graduate of Jacobs High School in Algonquin, Illinois where she lived and worked until moving with her family to Longview, Texas in 2003.

Soon after, she gave birth to the pride and joy of her life, her son Braydon. They were best buds. Her life was full of love and joy touched by her caring family and the many friendships she cherished at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center where she worked. Always wearing a smile and ready with kind words, her sparkling eyes and soft giggle immediately captured your heart. She never hesitated to help whenever asked.

Whitney loved to be on the go whether it be out to lunch, shopping for special gifts for friends, or traveling. She and Braydon traveled every chance they could to New York, Washington, D.C., Galveston, San Antonio, New Mexico, Chicago as some of their favorite excursions.

When you think of butterflies, bright pastels and everything soft and cuddly, think of Whitney. Called 'her little butterfly' by her mom since she was a little girl, Whitney's feet never touched the ground for long as she flitted from place to place, person to person always leaving them a little better than when they first met.

Lovingly remember by her son Braydon Ziemba; parents Robert J. JoAnn Ziemba; brother Robert E. Ziemba all of Longview, Texas; uncle Rick and Aunt Sherri [Ziemba] Marzec of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and many cousins.

Predeceased by maternal grandparents Frank and Virginia Schaeffer and paternal grandparents Joseph and Carolyn Ziemba.

Special thanks to her 'work family' of Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center for their caring support and kindness and for the compassionate care of the workers of Heart to Heart Hospice, especially her nurse Rachel.

In accordance with Whitney's wishes, no memorial service is planned.
